Established in the early 1900s, Poobong Tea Estate sits gracefully in the picturesque valleys of Darjeeling, ensconced near Sukhiapokhri and Ghoom along the Sukhiapokhri-Ghoom road. The name "Poobong" eloquently translates to "a valley behind the clouds," perfectly capturing the ethereal essence of this mist-laden terrain.

Nestled amidst misty landscapes and scenic pine forests, at altitudes between 760 and 1250 meters above sea level in the Ghoom district, Poobong boasts a temperate climate, where light clouds and intermittent sunshine contribute significantly to the development of its tea plants' intricate, flowery flavors.

Certified by Rainforest Alliance and acclaimed as an 'organic tea producer' by the IMO, Poobong diligently produces premium black teas in the region. Only 3.5 kilometers away from the quaint town of Ghoom, Poobong is a sanctuary for Himalayan fauna, flora, and indigenous medicinal plants.
