Taste
The first sip unveils a symphony of flavors, beginning with a deep, malty richness that is the hallmark of fine Assam teas. This is beautifully balanced by a pronounced tone of maple syrup, creating an indulgent harmony. Notes of wet wood and caramelized sugar add layers of complexity, while subtle hints of dried apricots and a whisper of spice enhance the overall profile, delivering a rounded and satisfying experience.

Full-bodied and smooth, this tea offers a velvety texture that coats the mouth luxuriously.

A pleasant astringency emerges, providing a crisp counterpoint to the sweetness and leaving a refreshing finish.

Love this Assam Tea

I have now purchased the 2023 second flush Coombergram Summer Black twice because I really love it. Nice malty strong Assam, but less astringent compared to many others I have tried.

refreshing and reinvigorating

as described, the tea is delightful to the palate and a soother to the senses. I like it best with a splash of milk, after steeping the leaves for a few minutes. Enjoyed at any time of the day

Deliciously not what I was expecting

I don't know tea words, and don't know quite how to describe this tea. I tend to drink VERY malty Assams - the kind you could float a horseshoe on. This one is /different/. Not especially astringent, DEFINITELY not what I'd call malty; but it is compelling and delicious and I'll probably end up buying another bag in the VERY near future.
